2021 Transaction Highlights
New Team Additions
Chase Wichelmann, Vice President
Chase joined Lakeside Partners in 2021. Prior to joining Lakeside Partners, Chase was an associate at BMO Capital Markets in the middle-market M&A advisory division where he gained several years of experience executing sell-side transactions across a variety of industries. A Minnesota native, Mr. Wichelmann graduated cum laude from St. Olaf College where he received a B.A. in Economics and an emphasis in Finance.
Justin Kundrat, Vice President
Justin Kundrat joined Lakeside Partners in 2020. Prior to joining Lakeside, Justin was a senior associate at Harvest Capital Credit in New York, where he focused on investing debt and equity capital in support of buyout transactions. Previously, he was an investment banking analyst at Guggenheim Partners in the firm’s consumer and retail team where he executed M&A transactions and capital raises. Justin graduated magna cum laude from Villanova University (BS) and is a CPA (inactive).
MacKenzie Place, Vice President
Prior to joining Lakeside Partners, MacKenzie was with Meridian Capital, a generalist M&A advisory firm in Seattle, and Odyssey Investment Partners, a middle market private equity firm in New York. Since joining Lakeside in 2020, MacKenzie has played a central role in executing some of the firm’s most meaningful Distribution and Logistics transactions including the sale of Crystal Creek Logistics. A native of Oregon, MacKenzie graduated cum laude from Sweet Briar College where she received a B.A. in Business Administration.
Matt Holcomb, Associate
Matt joined Lakeside Partners in 2021. Prior to joining Lakeside Partners, Matt was an Assistant Vice President at Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, primarily working through ongoing due diligence matters related to fixed-income transactions across several industries. He also held various roles at Wells Fargo Global Funds Services, a middle and back-office services provider for hedge funds and private equity funds. A Minnesota native, Mr. Holcomb graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College where he received a B.A. in Financial Economics and graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota – Carlson School of Management (MBA).
